What is a Lip Lift?
A lip lift is a surgical procedure that improves the aesthetics of the upper lip by reducing the distance between the nose and the lip, creating more definition, fullness, and a natural lip eversion. Unlike fillers, which add volume but may result in an unnatural look, a lip lift creates a permanent, subtle lift that harmonizes with the rest of your facial features.
There are various techniques for performing a lip lift. The bullhorn lip lift is the most common, where a small incision is made beneath the base of the nose to remove excess skin, resulting in a shorter upper lip and increased tooth show. A corner lip lift is also a solution for addressing downturned corners of the mouth, which can give the face a perpetually sad, angry, or aged appearance. This procedure subtly elevates the corners of the lips, restoring a more neutral or slightly uplifted contour that enhances a youthful and pleasant expression.
